We understand you may have questions about our programs. Here are answers to some of the most common ones:
It depends on the format your court accepts. Our live class runs three full days, eight hours each day. The parenting course online takes 20 hours or more at your own pace. Parenting therapy is twenty weekly sessions, about twenty weeks, or faster if your court approves a more frequent schedule.
Our programs have been approved in courts across the U.S., Canada and Australia for close to twenty years. No provider is accepted everywhere, though, and every judge, case manager or child protection worker sets their own rules. Confirm before you enroll and we will help you check.
Several different things at CCI. If your order concerns how you and the other parent deal with each other, it usually means one of the co-parenting programs. If it concerns specific parenting behaviours or a child's safety, or comes from a child protection matter, it usually means Parenting with a Purpose. Foundations of Parenting covers general parenting education. We also run Active Parenting and Caring Dads. Send us what your order says and we will tell you which one it is before you pay for anything.
Not for you if your court named a provider we are not on or a parenting program we do not run, if your order requires in-person attendance, if you cannot commit to full attendance, or if you want a certificate to buy rather than a program to complete. Ask us and we will tell you honestly.
A letter. It lists your dates, hours, topics covered and your clinician's credentials, and is issued only after full attendance and approval of your assignments. Therapy clients also receive a two to three page progress summary, and customized verification letters are available for courts, probation or child services on request. Courts want a full document, and printable certificates are the most common reason people repeat a program.
Yes. All three formats run online from start to finish, so there is nothing to travel to. No waiting lists, no time off work, and you can start today rather than waiting for a local intake date.
Yes. Many clients are ordered to complete more than one, often a parenting program alongside anger management, domestic violence, or substance abuse. Tell us what your order says and we will arrange the sequence and the paperwork so nothing is duplicated or missed.
