WHO WE HELP

Register For Court-Accepted Learning to Let Go Therapy

If you recognise yourself in even one of these, you are in the right place, and far from the first.

A judge, lawyer or case manager told you to complete a program and gave you a date.

Your order asks for emotional accountability or emotional regulation education, and you cannot tell which program qualifies.

Family or civil court wants documentation before your next hearing — a custody, divorce or conflict matter.

Your therapist or attorney recommended a structured program alongside what you're already doing.

You are carrying resentment or an unresolved conflict that is affecting your decisions.

Nobody ordered you. You just want to move on from something.

WHAT MOST PEOPLE DON’T EXPECT

Court-Ordered Learning to Let Go Program Shouldn't Be This Complicated

Your court order may simply say "complete a program in emotional regulation." But it may not tell you how many hours you need, which format qualifies, or what documentation you'll need when you're finished. And while you're trying to figure it out, your deadline keeps getting closer.

No One to Ask

Asking means explaining why you need the program. So you put it off another week, and another.

Waiting costs

Your lawyer bills by the hour whether you've enrolled or not. Add time off work and the drive to a local program.

Rejection

Your court rejected a cheap online learning to let go course. Now you pay twice!

What Matters Is What You Hand to the Court

Your court or probation officer needs documentation they can verify. Court Counseling Institute provides a detailed completion letter with your instructor’s name, professional credentials, signature, completed hours and dates, topics covered, and contact information for verification.

Frequently Asked Questions

We understand you may have questions about our programs. Here are answers to some of the most common ones:

How long are Learning to Let Go programs?

It depends on the format your court accepts. The online course takes 10 hours or more at your own pace. Learning to Let Go therapy is ten weekly sessions, about ten weeks.

Will my court accept a Learning to Let Go course taken online?

Our programs have been accepted in courts across the U.S., Canada and Australia for close to twenty years. No provider is accepted everywhere, though, and every judge and probation officer sets their own rules. Confirm before you enrol and we will help you check.

Is my participation confidential?

Yes. What you share during the program and in your assignments is kept confidential under privacy laws and professional ethical standards. Your completion letter or progress report may be shared with a court, probation officer or attorney if your order requires it, and that is the only information that leaves us.

Who is this NOT for?

Not for you if your order names anger management, domestic violence or another specific program, if your court named a provider we are not on, if your order requires in-person attendance, if you cannot commit to completing every component, or if you want a certificate to buy rather than a program to complete. If you are in crisis or need ongoing mental health treatment, this is a structured program rather than a substitute for clinical care, call us and we will point you somewhere that fits. Ask us and we will tell you honestly.

Do I get a certificate or a letter?

A letter. It lists your dates, hours, topics covered and your clinician's credentials, and is issued within two business days once all components are completed and reviewed. Therapy clients receive a detailed two to three page therapist report. If you would like it sent directly to your attorney, probation officer or agency, we can do that on your behalf. Courts want a full document, and printable certificates are the most common reason people repeat a program.

Can I complete the whole program online?

Yes. Both formats run online start to finish, so there is nothing to travel to. No waiting lists, no time off work, and you can start today rather than waiting for a local intake date.

What is the difference between the online course and therapy?

The online course teaches the curriculum at your own pace and suits education-focused orders and lower-level conflict. Therapy is one-to-one across ten sessions and works on what sits underneath the resentment, trauma, forgiveness, and the patterns that keep repeating. If your order names counseling, treatment or a session count, choose therapy, because the course will not satisfy it.
