Program Scheduling Options

Standard Pace:
Most therapy-based programs are delivered once per week, allowing for steady progress.

Fast-Track Option:
Need to meet a court deadline? Clients can fast-track any program with up to three sessions per week.

Anger Management Court Programs

CCI provides three comprehensive anger management court programs designed to meet a range of legal, workplace, and personal needs. All three formats are developed and facilitated by licensed professionals and guided by standards from court officials and mental health experts. Each program is structured, evidence-based, and focused on accountability, skill-building, and behavioural change.

These programs are not appropriate for individuals facing charges related to domestic violence, road rage, alcohol or substance use, sexual violence, elder abuse, or animal abuse. CCI has separate, specialized programs tailored to address those specific issues, each with a unique curriculum and legal suitability.

10-Session Therapy Program (One-on-One)

Best for: Moderate to high-risk cases, complex legal situations, or clients who prefer private therapy.

  • Ten 50-minute sessions with a licensed mental health professional

  • Sessions can be scheduled weekly or fast-tracked (up to 3x/week)

  • Topics include: anger triggers and types, emotional regulation, shame, calming strategies, communication, conflict resolution, relapse planning, and more

  • Includes optional 2–3 page personalized report for court or employer

Domestic Violence Court Programs

Note: This program is not appropriate for individuals with sexual assault charges.

Pre-Approval Letters for Court Programs

To support clients navigating legal or court-related requirements, Court Counseling Institute offers a Pre-Approval Letter Service for all programs.

These formal letters outline your selected program’s details and can be submitted to your lawyer, probation officer, court, or employer for approval before you enroll.

    • Highly recommended for court-mandated clients
    • Request through our Contact Page or during intake

Privacy & Sharing of Information Policy

Your privacy is important to us. All personal and medical information you share is documented in a secure digital file and stored in our confidential medical system.

    • Information is only shared with third parties listed in your intake forms, and only if it directly supports your treatment.

    • Disclosure without your written permission will only occur if required by law (e.g., risk of harm, court subpoena).

    • To release your information to any third party, you must complete a Release of Information form.

    • While we maintain strict confidentiality, we cannot guarantee full confidentiality in group programs or online courses. Full confidentiality is only assured during private, individual sessions conducted within our secure platform or office setting.

Telehealth Consent

Many of our services are delivered through Telehealth (online video sessions or phone consultations). By enrolling, you acknowledge and consent to receiving services through this format.

    • You are responsible for your own internet access and private environment.

    • We use HealthSync, a secure platform that meets both Canadian and U.S. standards for encryption and online safety.

    • Limitations may occur due to technical issues or if a service is not suitable for Telehealth delivery. Your counselor will discuss alternatives if necessary.

    • To proceed, clients must toggle the “I consent” checkbox and provide an electronic signature.

Client Accountability Policy

We maintain professional and honest documentation of your progress in any program, especially when third parties (like courts or legal professionals) are involved.

Clients are expected to:

    • Arrive on time and be prepared for sessions

    • Treat staff and fellow participants respectfully

    • Participate actively in their program

    • Complete all assigned homework and required documentation

Failure to follow these protocols will be documented and may affect your completion report.

Zero Tolerance Policy

Court Counseling Institute enforces a strict Zero Tolerance Policy for all programs.

Aggressive, abusive, or threatening behavior toward staff or other participants is not tolerated under any circumstances. This includes:

    • Verbal threats

    • Intimidating gestures

    • Physical aggression

    • Harassment of any kind

Any client who engages in these behaviors will be immediately removed from the program without refund.

These policies are in place to protect the integrity of our services, ensure safety, and support your success in meeting court or personal goals. By enrolling in any CCI program, you confirm your understanding and agreement with these terms.

Participation Agreement & Terms for Court Programs

TERMS & CONDITIONS

To ensure a successful experience and meet legal and professional standards, Court Counseling Institute has core policies that apply to all programs. Whether you’re in therapy, a group class, or an online course, it’s important to understand your responsibilities and program conditions. These policies help you make informed choices, meet court requirements, and stay on track. Please review them before starting your program.

Participation Terms & Conditions

All clients will receive electronic documents to sign before starting and after completing services. These documents confirm that:

    • You understand and agree to our service terms.

    • You have completed all required sessions.

    • No reports, documents, or information will be released to third parties (including courts or attorneys) until both documents are signed.

Service Completion Deadline:
If you choose not to begin or complete the services you’ve paid for, you have 365 days from the date of payment to do so. After 365 days, services are no longer available and no refunds will be given.

Fast-Track Program Option

CCI has a Fast-Track option that allows client to accelerate progress by attending up to three sessions per week, instead of the standard one.

Fast-Track Requirements:

    • You must obtain approval from your attorney, probation officer, or Crown Counsel before fast-tracking any court-mandated program.

    • A $300 Fast-Track fee is required in addition to your regular course fee.

    • If you are not enrolled in a prepaid package, this fee must be paid at your first session.

    • The Fast-Track fee is non-refundable.

Refund & Rescheduling Policy

No Refunds:
All sales are final. We do not offer refunds under any circumstances.

Private Appointments:
If you need to cancel or reschedule a private session, you must give at least 24 hours’ notice. If less than 24 hours’ notice is given, or you miss the session, you will be charged the full appointment fee and will not be allowed to reschedule.

Group Classes:
Changes to scheduled group classes must be made with at least 72 hours’ notice. Missed group classes or changes made with less than 72 hours’ notice will result in a full charge, and the class cannot be rescheduled.

Technology Notice:
You are responsible for making sure your internet connection and device are working before joining a session or class. If you cannot connect, you will still be charged in full.

Cancellation Policy Reminder

Your appointment time is set aside specifically for you. Missed appointments or last-minute cancellations take away valuable time from others who may need services.

    • Minimum 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or change any appointment.

    • If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, or fail to attend, the full appointment fee will be charged to the card on file.
